Students may borrow 100% of the cost of all certificates and ratings - including housing and supplies. Our finance programs offers a simple, no obligation application process with quick approval with a deferred payment option so you do not have to worry about making payments until after you start your new career as a professional pilot.

SLM Financial Program

Applicants can borrow the full tuition amount plus an additional 20% (not to exceed $6,000) for living and incidental expenses

Program Steps

1. A completed application along with the borrower's signature and most recent pay stub is faxed to SLM Financial.
2. An application can either be obtained from Langa Air Academy or downloaded directly from: www.salliemae.com/careerloans
3. After a credit evaluation, the student is either approved or advised to find a co-borrower.
4. Within 24 hours, the applicant is notified of the loan terms.
5. SLM e-mails the Promissory Note and Disclosure to Langa Air Academy.
6. The Note and Disclosure are signed by the student and mailed back to SLM Financial.
7. As soon as Langa receives the paperwork, the student can begin training.
   NOTE: If a student has no income or no credit history, we recommend using a co-applicant.
