LANGA AIR ACADEMY CONTINUES
CLIMB
LANGA
AIR ACADEMY, located at St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) in E. Alton,
Il. recently added it’s sixth
new Cessna 172 to it’s training fleet, making Langa the largest operator
of new Cessna airplanes in the entire Midwest. All of the new
aircraft are “state of the art”.
And for creature comfort, most of the planes are outfitted with
plush leather interior. “The first thing most people notice is the quiet
engine and overall solid handling characteristics that these aircraft
provide” said Scott Langa, Vice President of LANGA AIR ACADEMY.
In
further expanding their services, Langa just purchases a new simulator
and a twin engine training aircraft and recently did a major upgrade to
their web site. “We are getting
2 or 3 applications a day from flight training students via our web site.”
Said Langa, “Through the use of the web, we have began attracting
students from all over the country and even internationally.”
“We
have had tremendous success with our new airplanes and our Cessna Pilot
Center affiliation.” added Langa. “In fact we were recently ranked in
the top six Cessna Pilot Centers in the entire nation with over 220 active
students and flyers.” “We
were just recently asked to give a presentation on ‘The Secrets of Our
Success’ to an audience of flight training operators at an up coming Cessna
seminar in Independence Kansas.”
LANGA
AIR ACADEMY can attribute much of it’s success to it’s affiliation with
Cessna. Through this partnership Langa is able to offer Flight Training
Financing through the SallieMae Financial program. They have done extremely
well in this area having
been recognized by SallieMae as one of the top six loan providers in the
nation. “The opportunity to finance flight training offers many potential
benefits to the student,” says Langa, “We know that the reason most people
fail to achieve their aviation goals is because of an inadequate initial
budget. They simply run out of money and quit! By using this finance option
and having LANGA AIR ACADEMY develop a customized course of training that
is all inclusive, students are now completing their objectives. Once set
up, students no longer have to worry about paying as they go, they can
fly as much as they are able. When you add this to Cessna’s one of a kind
computer based instructional program, it has allowed us to reduce the
average flight hours of our Private Pilot students to approximately 44
hours – the national average is 70 hours.”
The
successful ascent of LANGA AIR ACADEMY will continue with the addition
of their newly developed CFI QUICKSTART PROGRAM. This regime
of training is designed to take the aspiring pilot from zero hours to
their Certified Flight Instructor rating in less than nine months.
At
that point, the new instructor will have the option of guaranteed employment
with LANGA AIR ACADEMY. “Our instructors do quite well in comparison to
other flight schools, with $40,000 per year readily available to motivated
and ambitious instructors” said Carl Heinrich, Chief Flight Instructor
for Langa.
“The
process of applying for these financial programs is very simple and we
will help the student with every step, from start to finish” said Lisa
Stassi, Flight School Manager.
Last
year LANGA AIR ACADEMY introduced another innovative program that helps
keep our flyers in the air – our new “PILOTS CLUB”. Members of the club
have rental access to Langa’s fleet of new 172’s as well as other airplanes
at significant discounts. For
example, a member can fly a new 172 for less than $55.00 per hour, approximately
half of what the airplane would typically rent for.
For member ship in the “PILOTS CLUB“ there is a one time membership
fee and low monthly dues. A great way to fly inexpensively.
