8-Day IFR Course 

       Instrument Flight Rules FAR Part 141 Course;  An accelerated, intensive course designed to prepare an applicant for his/her IFR rating.  This course can be done in consecutive days or 4 consecutive weekends.  In order to successfully complete the course in the time frame allocated, expect to train 10 to 12 hours per day.  The course includes:

•       30 Hours Dual in a Cessna 172R/SP

•        10 Hours of Training in a PCATD

•        30 Hours of Ground Training

•        Cessna’s Computer Based Instruction Program

•        Written Test

•       FAA Checkride

Day 3:  

1.        Holding at the VOR and NDB

2.        Flying DME Arcs and Holding

3.        Progress Check

4.        Tracking the Localizer and Procedure Turns

Day 4:

1.        Flying an ILS Approach

2.        Flying a Localizer Approach

3.        Flying a VOR Approach

Day 5:  

1.        Flying a GPS Approach

2.        Flying a NDB Approach

3.        Progress Check

Day 6:

1.        IFR Cross Country

2.        Improving Your Approaches

3.        Partial Panel Skills

Day 7:

1.        IFR Long Cross Country

2.        Final Progress Check

1.        FAA Checkride
