Program Steps
- A completed application along with the borrower's
signature and most recent pay stub is faxed to SLM Financial.
- An application can either be obtained from Langa Air
Academy or downloaded directly from: www.salliemae.com/careerloans
- After a credit evaluation, the student is either approved
or advised to find a co-borrower.
- Within 24 hours, the applicant is notified of the
loan terms.
- SLM e-mails the Promissory Note and Disclosure to
Langa Air Academy.
- The Note and Disclosure are signed by the student
and mailed back to SLM Financial.
- As soon as Langa receives the paperwork, the student
can begin training.
NOTE: If a student has no income or no credit history, we recommend
using a co-applicant.
